Diligent
J.K. Rowling is a very diligent person, especially when it comes to her job as a author.
J.K. Rowling is a diligent person because she was rejected by 12 publishing houses, but still got at least 1 publishing house, Bloomsbury, to agree to publish Harry Potter, said here, “12 publishing rejections in a row...until the eight-year-old daughter of a Bloomsbury editor demands to read the rest of the book. The editor agrees to publish but advises the writer to get a day job since she has little chance of making money in children’s books." (http://www.literaryrejections.com). This is diligent because even after being rejected 12 times where people usually give up after that many times, she still worked hard to become published by at least 1 publisher, and even after that she was told that she would never make it as a children’s book author, she still worked hard on her books and wasn’t discouraged. Another reason J.K. Rowling is diligent is shown by www.telegraph.co.uk here, “... her brief marriage to television journalist Jorge Arantes, with whom she had Jessica. Despite her current fortune, she has no desire to stop working as she believes it sets a good example to her children.”. As you can see, she is diligent because even after a divorce, and having a baby, she still works hard writing her books because she feels it sets a great example for her children. The final reason she is diligent is because of this quote after she answered the question, do you believe in fate, “"No, I believe in hard work and luck, and that the first often leads to the second."” (www.jkrowling.com). This shows J.K. Rowling is diligent because she believes in hard work, and you will get good results in things if you work hard at it, showing that she works hard when it comes to her books.
By my evidence and reasoning above, it is clear that J.K. Rowling is a very diligent person.
